Originally from California, moved to Kansas for college, went back to Fresno area, now I think he is back in Kansas. After being there for the last round, the only people with a look better than his was Wes, Walter Ray, and PA.
I think the winner will be between Wes/WRW, but if Rhino makes it out of that shootout match, I think he can take it. His ball roll isn't like any of the other lefties that made the show so I think he'll be able to create something near the ditch that the other lefties won't be able to get the full recovery from.

Rhino isn't bowling the shootout, the winner faces him.

And yeah, I do know it all.. I don't spend 30+ hours a week learning more about bowling for my heatlh... I do it so I know more than all of you.. which I do. (besides the random few that are staffers/work in the bowling business.. which that population is decreasing little by little)
-
He doesn't have to make it out of the shoot-out...he gets the winner of that 4-person match...then has to beat them, then Mike Wolfe, then Wes Malott, and then Patrick Allen...it's certainly a tough road to victory, but if he could do it...
-
I predict: Mike Wolfe wins. Just a gut feeling. I think, emphasize think, Walter Ray's luck runs out. I am not rooting against him, in fact I like him. I am also not rooting against Rhino, I like the underdogs.

Obviously lots of possibilities, but how about Chris Warren making the show. He hasn't won since 1992. He's got to be the sentimental favorite for those old enough to remember him.

You guys are right, when they announced the final 8 for the show I got confused and thought Rhino was in the bottom 4 shootout based on where he was standing amongst the guys.
To answer Lefty's question he has a ton of axis tilt (will get confused for spin by some people, but it's not. He still has a large track diameter) but he gets around it enough with enough revs on it to draw angle out of the back of the pattern where most people's balls would not recover and go flush. This enables him to throw the ball in the OOB area on the fresh and manipulate his ball speed until he gets full recovery to the pocket.
We all know by now, it's really hard to beat someone when they're striking from where they like to throw it. Rhino looked good and will earn a ton of new fans this sunday.

His roll almost reminds me a bit of a lefty Brad Angelo. Just wait for tomorrow, all questions will be answered.

This isn't a great video, but the second part shows Rhino.

Who needs a 300 or 800, when I have a 294 and a 295!?!?!

Rhino used to come to our center to shoot in the Coors Light tourney. I haven't seen Rhino bowl since then, but should be a good show.

I have known Rhino for about 10 years now. We use to bowl the same junior tournament club about every weekend back then. Always was a great bowler, and it really comes to no surprise on his success so far. The fact that he is 17th in points is completely amazing though! Especially with the argument that the lefties haven't "gotten their time" yet.

AHHHHH DP3...now I see....
His backend of his shots is a lot like mine.....SHARP.
But like said above his ball roll looks like a low tracker at the end of his shot!
Several observations and questions.
1. Love his hand position at the top of his swing and love the powerful long last step and extended follow thru!
2. Is his third step called a powerstep where the foot ends up just barely in front of his step 2 foot?(He is a 4 step approach right?)
3. His front foot position turned very much sideways to his throwing line used to be called posting....not considered a good thing! I've been taught the heel of the slide foot to be closest to the throwing like I see Walter Ray do and like my favorite altime bowling stylist did also...that being Dave Davis!

As I posted in another thread, Rhino's shoes bugged the heck out of me. It sounded like he was bowling in basketball shoes. I would hate to bowl next to someone whose shoes squeaked and squealed on every shot like that.
That being said, he looks like a pretty good bowler, and he's got a cool name!

Maybe if they were actually structured like a question and we could read what you're trying to get out of your question then it just might be easier to answer.
