Did anyone notice that they showed a close up of Rhino's grip and his finger nails were showing ?  I am a bit surprised that Randy did not comment on that, since his grip appeared to be long.

I bet alot of the pros just go with what works for them.. not with what the IBPSIA says is the right way to drill a ball..

Randy did comment how his nails were pressed into the back of the holes or pulling out of the holes.. one of the two.. can't remember

good topic here.  i saw the footage and heard randy mention this on one of rhino's shots..

dont wanna hijack your thread but im going to anyways.  what is all of your personal preferences on how far you put your fingers in? do you go with a more relaxed grip or a stretched grip and why?

right now i personally like a relaxed grip.

It's not that uncommon, especially with skilled bowlers...

Just like relaxed grips are popular with more average bowlers...

During the course of the week,  I fit many bowler's who want a stretched grip....

And even more that want a more relaxed grip....

It's what feels good to them that counts....

Bill Taylor talks about a sensation of the weight of the ball going to the last half of the pad of the fingers as one swing comes down in the downswing and centrifigul force is felt!

I believe for those with stretchy hands to get to this feeling they must be at the far end of what looks like a full span drilling.  Last joint 1/8 of an inch over the center of the grip.  For stiffer hands to get this same sensation one can drill quite a bit shorter than the drill for the flexible stretchy hand in relation to the point where the last joint is placed in relation to the fingerholes!!
