I hope not. Although he stands his best chance considering the weak finalists remaining. He has been compared to a marathon runner dropping out everytime after 24 miles.

I think he can do it.  He took last week off to work on his game.  He is becoming more versatile with his releases.  And this week just shows it.  Practically crushing in the TQR and making yet another telecast.  I am very impressed with this guy.

I hate to be the one, but he didn't take last week off. He struggled mightily in the TQR, and then spent the rest of the week working on his game.. So you're partly correct

As for being compared to a marathon runner, how many other distance runners can you say are ranked 8th in the PBA (and possibly rising this weekend) when they only finish 91% of the race?? Exactly...

Page didn't take last week off he just bowled bad and didn't come close in the TQR... he practiced hard the rest of the week and it paid off.

Plus Rhino will be exempt anyway for finishing high in the player of the year point rankings. he doesnt even need to win. just keep making top 8's.

Good discussion.

I think that NEEDING the win like Edwards and Jurek do is actually detrimental to their chances. Needing the win puts that much added pressure on each and every shot... Prying the ball off your hand cleanly when your career is on the line cannot be easy.

Rhino has almost no pressure, neither does Scroggins.

My guess is that the winner of the Page-Scroggins match will be the victor tomorrow.

I still think Rhino will take the title. Scroggins tends to win when he is the only lefty on the show and has a clean track area for himself. His transition game doesn't seem to be overly strong, so Having someone like Rhino tearing up his line (especially since Rhino has the ability to move inside of Scroggins and really destroy his hold area) could play a major factor.

My money is on Rhino Page.

I'm happy.

You know, if the bowling media played this right, he could be bowling's Tiger Woods!
The record today that fell was 44 years old... (number of telecasts by a rookie).

If you're trying to say he "chokes" when he gets on TV you're an idiot.  Before today he was average nearly 230 on TV and his opponents where somewhere in the 250 range.  Not to mention I think 3 of those opponents where hall of famers.  I hardly consider 230 "dropping out".  Here's a headline for you, "Page goes the full 26.2 miles and wins the Go RVing Classic."

My post as of Friday: He already will have been exempted but he wanted a title.

I will say it now. Rhino Page will be the winner of the Go RVing Classic this Sunday. It will be his first championship title and be exempt for next year. Next year he will be winning 3 titles including a big one and player of the year honors.

I know his sponsor really well, he has made a pretty good money off the Rhino machine this year. They have another kid that will be coming through tour trials and tqr's if he does not make the cut in tour trials.

From what i hear this guy is near the talent level of the Rhino, i forgot his name but just bowled the mega buck tournaments and placed well in all of them.

on edit talked to friend that says the new guy is Blanchard, also Simard uses the same sponsor as Rhino. So be looking for a Blanchard coming through the ranks in the near future.
