An observation about PA
« on: December 07, 2008, 04:02:42 AM »
Is it just me, or is he the next David Traber in the making?  The only thing I see on him is that big protruding Buddha-belly.  No wonder his knee hurts - he's carrying around all that extra baggage.

With Mike Durbin and Denny Schreiner on the commentary.  Good video.

PA actually looked too scrawny then - but then who didn't when they were younger?  Today - Buddha...

He looked like a Nutrisystem 'before' photo.

That black stripe at the bottom almost hid his belly.

I still find it hard to understand how Richie Wolf doesn't have 20 titles. Style, finesse and POWER! (mental game?)

Lichstein - how not to learn to bowl!!

I've seen Lich bowl for the past 8 years in NEBA and have bowled with him many times during this period...

...while Mike's style is far from text book, his down swing / follow through is great and his mental game is incredible!  Say what you will about his style but try beating the man when money is on the line!!

Richie Wolf never had the financial backing to compete full time on the tour year in and year out. But even part time with that stroke should have had 10 titles.

Mike still has a unique style...but his start, backswing, hand position, etc. have changed over the years.  Wish I had a current video of him to show ya...

I wasn't criticizing the man, just the horrible style. It worked for him, obviously. I'd guess that if you taught 100 people using his style on that video as an example, 98 of them would either be in traction or averaging about 150. Even on the video it was obvious he made it work for him. It might even have been worse than Scott Devers style.

Mike has crazy style but is very good watched him at the Mini Eliminator over the years, he gets on the ball pretty good and is very solid.
