For me, Rob was kind of like a fungus.  Kind of grew on me.

He truly did not know a 5-pin from a Greek Church and often verbalized his ignorance of the sport.

He has learned a lot, but he still had a long way to go.

Bowling does need his kind of enthusiasm though.

I do not like the new forum for the WSOB.  It looks like two lanes set up in someone's basement.

I believe PBA should bring back the Stadium format.  It makes it more exciting for the fans and brings a football like experence to the game.  With the constant hum to roar of the crowds, not one will notice the crinkling of a water bottle.  Leagues are bowled with lots of noise, and I believe that the PBA should also be bowled that way.

Have you listened to Burton Jr. the last few times he's been a guest announcer?  He would not be great.

Don't believe in the Uzi, it just went off in my hand.  I, I believe in love.

Veteran ESPN broadcaster Gary Thorne will replace Rob Stone.

Thorne is a very good hockey and baseball announcer.   If he can learn enough to come across to the diehards that will be the question.  Otherwise he's better than many I can think of.

Thank God. Leave bowling and never come back. I don't care if the announcer is a boring Jim Kelly remake. In fact...his name escapes me but appears just in one show he's more knowledgeable about bowling and is a good commentator. The last time the PBA had a good commentator was Ron Thulin and they fired him for what reason no one knows and hired dipshit Dave Ryan and Ron Stone was a tool. I'd rather have good commentators then the last two fools the PBA had. It also makes Pederson a better color commentator as well as he hasn't had this kind of chemistry since Thulin or Kelly was around.
