Kenny Simard

I just wanted to quickly say congrats to Ken and GOOD LUCK TODAY!!!! I've bowled with Ken in the PBA South Region and he has always been a stand-up guy, willing to give advice and pointers when asked.

I think you will all be impressed with Ken's delivery. Smooth as silk, and as powerful as there is on the tour.

Great to see Ken make a show in his first year out on the National tour - MAKE THE MOST OF IT MAN!!!!

Agreed.

The way Kenny handled himself on the telecast today and the way Mr. Frawley handled the telecast last week [so gracious in defeat and appreciative of the fans, etc.]..............well, let's just say that I, for one, like the new faces and new demeanors that I am seeing on TV.

Ken should have won. Nice bowling, man!

Barnes YET AGAIN gets lucky and wins with garbage shots and lucky trip-out's.

Ken, in my book, you won this tournament.

We know Barnes won, but man Ken caught some bad breaks.  7-10 first frame, with his power, is probably a rarity.  Multiple 10s left hurt as well.  Barnes caught a break in the 1st ball of the 10th, instead of 49 just the 9, then he predictably goes and throws a 7 count split on his last ball.  Shame Ken couldn't go off the sheet to win, would've been a great show to talk about.

I forgot, Barnes caught some huge breaks against Mika too, but sometimes that what it takes.

Be honest though, have you ever seen a bowler on any level not catch a few breaks during something big?

Ken got exactly what he needed, and that was a chance.  Barnes left 7, dude strikes out, he wins.....what else can you ask for?  That being said, that is a ton of pressure trying to get your first title...and I would not want to be in that situation.

The point where I personally think Ken lost the match, was right after Barnes left the crazy split going into the TV timeout and Ken came out with his foot on Chris' neck and left the big 4.  If he can continue his string there, whole different ball game....

Congrats to Simard on making the show and bowling as well as he did, but you people kill me!!!!   You sit and bad-talk Chris Barnes all day long and when someone else does the exact same thing, it's OK.  Sure Barnes got a break in the 10th but Simard threw one good shot and then yank, but that's OK right. These are all professionals, whether they have been on tour one year or ten, they should be stepping up and making quality shots every time.

Great Show today!! One of the years best. I was very impressed with Ken Simard!! he handled himself very well for his 1st time on TV. I was pulling for him to beat Chris and he did bowl a better game in the championship match but caught some terrible breaks.
