Post by: Laybzz74 on September 19, 2006, 03:36:35 PM: I bowling at Robert's home lanes during the '04-'05 season, and got a chance to bowl with him and also tALk "shop"; he's an AWESOME dude ... very down-to-earth and just a real nice guy !!! (He gave me a few tips too).

BTW, I beat him the first game that we bowled together with a 244 ... but he was just practicing, and I was in AWE !!!

I can't watch the clip at work, but I'm wondering if it has to do with his grip. Is he still using the Sarge? The 700 RPM was with a regular grip; the Sarge is aimed at reducing rev rate, so that might be it?

Post by: azus on September 19, 2006, 04:05:54 PM: Before he had sarges he had about 560rpms. When he went sarge the revs only dropped to 540rpms.

Post by: DP3 on September 19, 2006, 08:46:42 PM: This clips just goes to show that anyone on here that honestly thinks they're at 420+ rpms really is about 70-80rpms lower. The ball is revving so much he can make a 2 toned ball appear as a solid.

I remember that show where he was whacking them with a Too Hot, that was one of the greatest grindout performances I ever saw(and I believe he shot 279 one game)
