How many times does this have to be re-hashed? There are several factors to high scores, first, and most important, they are THAT GOOD. 2, these guys know how to properly break down a pattern and get the pattern to maintain its integrity during the qualifying block. Finally, someone correct me if I am wrong, the ratio of oil on tour is about 5:1, these gimmick PBA exp. leagues are 2.2-2.5 : 1, big difference.

While I have no misunderstanding that these guys are the best at what they do I am just amazed at how high the scores are this week. Top 4 above 240...This pattern claims to be a med to high scoring pattern. These guys are making it look like childs play. I understand that they are that good but they should at least make it a little challenging for them and not your typical carry contest. Oh yeah and to add more fuel to this fire it looks like the lefties are shut out this week.

No matter what you put out there, a select few will wreck it. That's just how it is.

Again, I think you are mistaken by my intention with the post. I do believe these guys are the best. i do understand that a select few can blow up any pattern at anytime. I do understand that i am nowhere close to being on the same level as these guys I have tried in regionals and have proven to myself that I am not as good as them. My point is the whole field should not be blowing up the pattern. When you have scoring this high it gives the "general public" an idea that this game is as easy as they make it look. Most regular bowlers know that is not the case. How can intergrity be brought back in control...that has been a huge discussion over the last few years. Obviously the PBA does not care about intergrity and only cares about high scores.

Dont know about Billy but I heard Jeff is fighting thru some injury to his hand but did not want to give up his exemption this year. As far as PA take a look for the other lefties (Bohn) they are all way down the list. For scores go to PBA.com and click on live scoring.

While I won't go as far to call you a dope, I am having a hard time figuring out exactly what you are talking about at this juncture. The PBA, in my opinion, plays a very small role in restoring integrity back into bowling as a whole.

lefties are not shut out completely. only person i looked for this wk was my buddy rhino Page, and he's a lefty, and right now after the first block he's in 13th, so he has a pretty darn good chance. so dont count the lefties out completely.

I remember a tournament last year on the Viper pattern that was likewise very high scoring (took 240+ average to make the TV show). On the broadcast, they noted that for some reason the carry was just phenomenal that week -- shots that normally left a weak 10 were carrying most of the time, etc. A couple extra strikes in a row and your scores are gonna go up from 220 to 240 if you don't have any extra mistakes.
