I don't see the talent, all I see is a jerk who throws the ball 120MPH up the gutter. in the 4 or 5 shows I've seen him on, I can't remember one shot that didn't fall off balance.

I think Devaney will beat him in the round of 8. He seems to have a hot hand right now. It could cool off... but ya never know. At least it has potential to be a good show. Aside from Barnes, none of these guys make shows all the time.

I bowled a PBA pattern sweeper with him all summer.  He was shooting 260's when league bowlers were barely putting 200s together.  It really showed me the difference between 230 average house bowlers and actual professionals.  There is a reason he is out there and I'm not.

McCune has tamed down a little in the emotion department but hasen't tamed down in the cranking department. He was really shreading some racks in qualifying and beat the hell out of Mika.

I dont recall this McCune guy and just one question... how in the hell is on tour with that shot!?!? I know Im not perfect, but I dont just try to crank the hell out of it and fall off balance every time.

playing the gutter doesn't take talent ? i'm talking straight down the 1-2-3 board not swinging 12 to 2 or something like that. throwing the ball very fast and accurate doesn't require talent ? i don't know what your idea of talent is but there aren't that many pba players that excel at that type of shot and there are even fewer league bowlers who are really good at it. a "talented bowler" isn't just the player who can play the 5th and 6th arrow.

I can't believe how well Chris is bowling this year, it's like his 3rd or 4th round of 8, hes almost got enough points to get exempt.

Now Greg you know i'm not saying playing the gutter doesn't take talent, watch him, he basicly points the ball directly at the 1-3.

whatever shot he throws, he does in consistantly enough to remain out there.  May not be one of the premier guys on tour, but he could trash all us armchair pros.
