Round of eight
« on: March 19, 2004, 06:53:33 PM »
Looks like Walter Ray is making his move. He is in
the round of eight. PDW is out, Tom Baker defeated
him. I'm really looking forward to the finals on
Sunday. Could be some really interesting match-ups.
Jaros is bowling really well also.

Wes Malott just took out Jones 3-1.  Wes vs. Walter Ray should be a sight to see.

Big Wes is taking this tournament.  It would  be the start of something spectacular for him, and winning the world championship on his FIRST tv show would be AWESOME.

I agree here.. WRW is intimidating because you have seen him on TV so many times. Also he can flat out bowl. Now heres a real question.. whos gonna be player of the year? If Jaros wins today its him, if WRW wins or comes in 2nd and Jaros dosent win, WRW is POY.. Anyone kinda get what I am saying?? I think Jaros needs this win to get POY, I wanna see a new face besides WRW.

Jaros just swept Haugen Jr. 3-0 in their match which gives him an impressive 11-2 record in match play so far. Go Jaros!

Ahhhh... incorrect, buffalo breath!

Like the other top 8 finishers in the points list, WRW was seeded into the round of 16 (Super 16, they called it), not the round of 8.  He beat Randy Weiss to get to the round of 8.

INteresting that in 4 of the first 5 matches (Mika and Wolfe still going) that the guy automatically seeded into the Round of 16 lost, with Walter being the only one to advance.

How about the century old Tom Baker making it into the round of 8, which puts him on the cusp of being exempt.

Richard Wolfe just soiled his slacks with back-to-back opens against Koivuniemi.
