I don't think Norm was even sick. It was a psych out, and everyone bought it. I'd rather see Ryan Shafer win every telecast for the rest of his career then see Norm put both hands in the air like he scored a game winning goal and cry like a little girl. He's the reason I don't even eat club crackers anymore, I get mad when I look at the box and I dump them all over the floor and stomp on them. F'ing Elfs.......

At Norm's age, and plagued with injuries recently, this was much more than just a win.  It's a third major (I'm honestly shocked he hasn't won more majors), and a guarantee of two more years on the tour.  I'm sure you'd get a little emotional too, if you were in his shoes.-TyShoe

He cries after every win. And honestly I have nothing against Norm, he's obviously a great bowler, better than I'll ever be. I just get irratated when people always bash Shafer. He's a good guy.

Shafer does not cry and complain on TV and even if he did he would have the right too!!! Nobody has gotten tougher breaks in Majors than Shafer. Norm deserved to win today because he bowled better than Ryan but I didn't see Ryan whining out there today.

I will be the first to say that i'm not a fan of Shafer.  However, no one should say he's not a good bowler!  Any guy that wins a title on the pro tour is a pretty good bowler.  These guys are in a class by themselves.

Shafer my not be a fan favorite but you can't take away from what he's been able to do.  The guy makes money on the tour.  How many guys have failed to make a living on the tour?  A lot!  Shafer has been on TV many times and has won titles.  Enough said about his talent!

I have heard many comments on this site about certain pro's just not being good bowlers. How can someone really believe that?  I understand not liking a guys style or attitude but to say that he's not a good bowler is foolish.
