Sat Travel with the PBA in Vernon Hills

So I bowled travel league at Hawthorn lanes today and got to watch Robert Smith, Tony Reyes, Michael Fagan, and Bill O'Neill each bowl two frames on each par of lanes.  Robert Smith and Tony Reyes were both really cool guys, and I enjoyed talking to them, Michael Fagan and Bill O'Neill were pretty quiet and self reserved but were still cool.  As far as the Scorpion pattern goes, two words, REVERSE BLOCK. Outside of 8 played dead and the inside was really dry.  I was forced to play in without getting the ball too far right, i struggled and barely shot 500.  The only people who played out were the crankers (Fagan and Smith) who got the ball to turn up past the flood.  I got to say it was quite an experience and I'd like to bowl those patterns more often to better myself as a player.

David Traber runs a Tour Simulator shot leauge in Island Lake in the summer time. Thursday Night at 7PM. 3 man teams at $18-$20 per night. Traber says the experience is pretty amazing and you will learn how to adjust. Tells you what the shot was after leauge is over with. I'm planning on doing that leauge if another house dont take on my idea.

As for the scorpion shot..........well all I can say is it definately brought out any and all problems I have. Keep in mine these are 9 pin no tap scores. (168 natural, 242 had 5 no tap strikes, 261 had 2 no tap strikes, 5th and 7th frame) The shot got easier once the oil started breaking down. Ended up shooting 671 for the night. Im not complaining 1 bit.
