PBA lost 35 million dollars since 2000
« on: June 09, 2007, 11:37:28 AM »
According to Fred Schreyer the Microsoft investors lost around 35 million since 2000. How soon before it folds?

On a side note, is the ABT still around for scratch bowlers who are not PBA quality, but can still bowl on some conditions consistently?

Holy!  35 mil!?!  They need to get out there in the world.  Bowling may not ever be as popular as football, but they need a new sponsor, and have to advertise the PBA more to attract more people.

35 mil over 7 years isn't that bad, considering it was loosing more than that when it first started. in 7 years the tour is down in size considerably but it's leaner and better for it.

The regional programs however are stronger than previous and are producing more bowlers that take the shot out on the exempt. occasionlly someone gets picked and gets to bowl it. example: Tyler Jensen from the south, he dominated  the southern region.
