Shark Championship (Spoiler for those who havent watched)
« on: December 06, 2009, 04:28:13 AM »
Wow. what a great set of bowling. Two classy guys end up in the finals and a roll-off decided it all.

Congratz to Jack on the great bowling and it wont be much longer for Fagan

It was a great show.  I think those were the highest scoring games since the WSOB started.  Helps to get out of the track area.  And that messenger that just stopped dead in its tracks.

Really nice finals. Great drama. I was rooting for Fagan but it was nice to see Jurek break that very long drought.

Side note: Great pin action Fagan was getting on shooting those 10 pins. I think he got every 10 pin to bouce back onto the pin deck. His last one would have also took out the 7 pin.

Either it was the best show in quite awhile or my standards of excellence have changed - I think it was a pretty good show

Much better show. Nice that they had a playable condition for a change.

Great for Jack to finally come through with the win.

Also props to Kelly for getting up and taking care of business in the 10th with the game on the line.

I couldn't have been more happy to see Jack finally break through and win again.

I've bowled a couple of Pro-Ams with him and his one of the classiest guys I have ever met...just a true nice guy.

It was nice to see them have a playable condition.  Yeah, they had to be precise, but it was still playable and good shots got rewarded.

I think what made it an enjoyable final match was
the fact that Fagan was going for #1 and Jurek was
going for #2. Was not your Duke against Williams Jr
with a combined titles of 400 something. It surely
was nice to see Jurek beat the big nasty. Very good
show indeed.

it was a good show, but it was nothing that the PBA did, it was because of the bowlers involved.

Two underdogs going into a roll off to determine the champ is entertaining, plus getting to see CDB lose again is always good

I loved seeing CDB lose she really blow that one, Kelly gave it to her then managed to get it back.

how accurate exactly is there CATS system?? Is there such an effect by the ball that both Kelly and CDB have almost the same rev rate (both around 250)... when clearly Kelly has significantly more than CDB? Also Jack's rev rate on CATS was around 350, while Fagan's was almost the exact same... when obviously Mike's rev rate is MUCH higher than Jack's. The only one that seemed believable was Wes being around 440.

Speaking of CDB, was there a Strike Zone sighting yesterday?

You also have to take into consideration axis tilt.  Differences in axis tilt and rotation can account for differences in backend reaction.  I'm pretty sure Kelly has more axis tilt than CDB and JJ might have more than Fagan.
