maximum bob is he back for good?
« on: March 30, 2009, 05:30:19 AM »
from watching sundays telecast and roberts point of how he is now pretty much bowling pain free so is he back as how maximum bob used to be?

quick evidence:
-first week of new equipment he makes the telecast
-almost pain free
-two telecasts in his painful times he has one once (windy city classic) and made 2 other telecasts coming this season.

i dont think he'll ever be back to how he used to be, he's had to change his way of bowling a little to ensure that there is no pain, however i do think he will be a factor again on tour, and now that he's rid of that Elite garbage, he can throw some decent equipment and score a little better

nothing against robert-----i've met him and he's a likeable guy. whether or not he's "back", i don't think he'll be a dominant player on the pba tour. he's not really versatile enough. i still rate him a better player than patrick healey, jr., brian kretzer, rudy kasimakis. etc.

I thought it was interesting that he credited that Tampa doc.  Ken and Bill give away a session with him on Let's Go Bowling each month.

I spoke at length with Robert in Medford. He truly credits the guy in Tampa for making his pain go away. I wish I lived closer - I'd give it a shot, too!

He told me several different stories of how the pain is gone - it's truly amazing. I'm really happy for him.

Now he probably has to re-learn how to throw the ball, since i'm sure he's developed some bad habits in response to pain.
