Which do you prefer watching in the finals of a PBA event, a stepladder format (where the 5th seeded player plays the 4th seeded player, winner plays 3rd seed,etc.) or the current format where the winners of a bracket play each other until one winner is decided?

I kinda like the stepladder format because it makes me root for the underdog, the 5th seeded player, having to go through the top seeded players in the quest for the title.  But this makes it unfair for a lower seeded player who has to play more games than a top seeded player.

Anyways, which final format do you like?
