Then a flat ten!?!?! That, folks, is the US OPEN.

I think everyone who says that Barnes "choked" away that game, whether they be serious or making an extremely lame attempt at a joke, should be drug out in the street and shot.

It makes me happy that he struggles on TV. Makes it worth watching, just to see what'll happen to him week in and week out. Stone 8. Good times.

At least he threw a good shot in that situation. Bad breaks---I can live with that. Gotta hate a bad break that potentially costs you POY.....

Chris Barnes is not a choker---he is just a great opponent to draw on TV.

Second worst break after the WRWJr pocket 8-10 against PA.  That was great TV.  I still smile every time I see that replay...

See, but, he wwent through the face a few frames back. HE STRUGGLES. Yeah, he went 243 the game before, but goin through the face when you need to make good shots is not good. Not necessarily choking, but, it's Scroggins, man. C'mon.

That's no choke job. That's throwing two great shots and getting shafted! WoW! I fell off my couch onthe 2nd shot. Ewwww! Scroggins in the finals. Barnes missed the pocket once and lost. That's amazing! Big ups to local guy Rich Wolfe. Watching him bowl is like everything right about left handed bowling, well bowling in general. Way to play the lanes they needed to be played and not limping the ball up the 5 like most lefties. No offense.

Ahh Stone 8s hurt. Ask Randy Pederson and his opponent Ernie Schlegel back in the day.

Again---he made a good shot---2 of them actually when he needed them. Just didnt knock all 10 down. For the first time in awhile---Im not going to knock him for losing on TV---when it came to the 10th, when he needed 1 shot to win---he didnt go 2-8-10 or 3-6-10. He stoned an 8 pin.

Chris Barnes is not a choker---he is just a great opponent to draw on TV.

At least Scroggins' first shot in the title match was 10 back.

Norm's just payin homage to Barnes. He says, "I can stone an 8 too. But I'll win."

Settle down, buddy. Rob Stone said it best (for once):

"And, that, folks, is the US Open."

It's bowlin, dude. Everyone gets bad breaks. It's done and over with. I don't have to like Barnes if I don't want to. I think he's a crybaby. If he wins, all the credit in the world to him. If not, you'll hear about it. He's good, yes. But, he just gets effed with on TV. I enjoy watching it.

Malott deserves it more, personally. I'd like to see him win it, and the way Duke is going, he very well might.

Oh look, signature updating finally works.

Don't count Norm out yet. He's in the pocket. Scroggins is all over the lane.
(I'm not a douchebag, thanks)

Congrats goes to Malott. Quiet the second half, but a dream season the first half. My hat's off to ya, buddy.

Scroggins made the shots he needed. He filled the tenth against Barnes, so I say he deserves it.

Brutal conditions, Barnes finally shows up in the 10th and gets beat by bad carry.  Congrats to Scroggins the breaks went his way and he took advantage and won!

Apparently he did, because not only did he BOWL in the title match, he won the match and $100K.

Just watching the replay on espn classic, one thought came to mind watching the Barnes v. Scroggins semi-final match, I'm sure we here on BR.com can remember who bowled in the Motel 6 Roll to Riches in its inaugural year...

C Barnes went Brooklyn for strike #6 v Scroggins for 200k! With that all being said Barnes owed Scroggins a big one and the bowling gods just equaled things out...I'm trying to justify why Mikey won the match.

I must say Barnes this Telecast didn't seem to get in his own way like he has times before.

On a side note, I was hoping R Wolfe would win, he had a great look and attitude on the show. Fun to watch!
