Stone Do Better?
« on: November 04, 2007, 09:40:36 AM »
I thought Rob Stone did much better today than the 1st week.  If, he keeps this up and doesn't get into the cliche rich broadcasting mode....he'll be OK.  Bit funny also which makes it entertaining which is what PBA/ESPN want.

I thought Stone did much better today, he and Pederson seemed to have much better chemistry, and the segment with Reyes was pretty good also.  Overall, a very good job today.

The best was when he referred to one of Walter Ray's shots as "The money shot!".

This dude is funny.  Gets real excited when the pins are hit hard.

I guess he came up with his sexier terminology for a four bagger... Quattro?!

Agreed.  Rob Stone sounded MUCH more comfortable this week.  He and Randy get along really well on the air already, that should get even better.  He'll pick up the finer points in time.

I thought he was funny.  Spinning 10s baby!

Also his comment on the forgettable year of music in 1989 was funny.

I like him.  He's not as spastic as Dave Ryan.  One of the things I like about the older shows is that the announcers are much more subdued, they're not hootin' and hollerin' every time one of these guys gets a three-bagger (which, frankly, is at least once per game).

I thought he sucked during the Motor City Classic!  I'm sorry but why didn't the PBA just get a current exempt player to sit in the booth with Randy?
