Duke Is Back!
« on: February 22, 2008, 11:33:32 AM »
Norm Duke has finally made it back to TV as he beat Chris Loschetter 4-0 in the round of 8, including a 299 in game 3. Congrats Duke, and Good Luck on Sunday, I hope you win.

Yeah it will good to see Norm battling his old nemesis Walter Ray. I have both of them on my fantasy team this year. Who's Andrew Frawley??

I have a strong feeling Duke will win and get a multi year exemption. He has to bowl the game of his life against Walter Ray Williams and then he will win the title.

That is quite strange.  Amazing what a little break and probably slightly different conditions can do to you.  Quite a few of them did not put up nearly the scores they had been.

Well, another thing to consider is that the lack of bowling can actually hurt you our put you at a disadvantage. Think of the stepladder format, and how many times the top seed loses, just because the other guys have been on the lanes. Obviously, this is slightly different -- the patterns are fresh when they started -- but it might just be one of those things, where the guys coming up are already loose and comfortable on the lanes.

When a house bowler misses the mark, misses the break point and strike, for many ppl its called a wallshot. When a pro does that its call adjustment

When a house bowler gets his finger stuck in the ball and fall on the lanes, for many ppl its called lame bowler. When a pro does that its called the Machuga flop! ha i like this one.

Frawley didn't have a bye.  When they cut to the top 40, the top 8 received a bye.  Frawley wasn't one of those top 8.  The 32 left had a round of 32 & cut to 16, then the round of 16 cut to 8 to take on the 8 w/byes, called the round of super 16.  The one's w/byes were in order of seed:  Barnes, Wiseman, Mika, Harmon, Castillo, Book, Rash & Zulkifli (Malaysia).

Go Duuuuke.
