I love it too...I love watching someone work their way up through the telecast, like Wes Malott did today.  I wish they would do more events stepladder.

the whole format is better.  you can simply have bad luck in match play and draw somebody hot.  the best bowlers rise to the top in this format because its about score, not luck.

In the other format, the #1 seed can lose to the 32nd, be knocked out, and still average higher than most of the field.  In the round robin/stepladder format, the guy with the highest average + bonuses from wins is guaranteed at least 2nd.  Which one sounds better for the guys who consistantly bowl well?

HEY GUYS!

Just would like to post my thoughts about each bowler Sunday on the show.

Jack Jurek - The guy to me was throwing the ball great. Just a couple of bad shots cost him at moving up the ladder. Great week for Jurek, I'm pretty sure he'll have title # 2 before the season is up.

PBIII - Parker's second show of the season via Stepladder finals. I remember Pedersen making the comment that Parker definitely comes alive when round robin match play is the format for the week. He had a tremendous look and was making the Total Inferno look like one heck of a ball! I was kinda shocked when he left the split that was the difference maker giving Malott the victory over him. I was thinking a 1-2 pin game or possibly a roll off. Nonetheless, PBIII had a very good look on the show.

Mike Scroggins - Seems like the party at Scroggie's has been shut down for good ever since he made his 'league bowler' comment. Once he gets back on track, I feel ol' Scroggs is going to be back in the winner's circle. The guy just hasn't had a decent look on any telecast since his Masters win last season. Scroggs is suffering from what I would like to call the 'league bowler curse' at this point.

Chris Barnes - The guy can bowl, otherwise he wouldn't have been the # 1 seed this week. Whether you like him or hate him, Barnes isn't going away...I felt he had an excellent look on the lanes, he was just outperformed in my eyes...

Wes Malott - Two shows, two stepladder finals, two titles, one emotional victory. Call me impartial to a guy who throws Track but I felt Track needed the win. Wes threw the ball tremendously and made shots when they mattered in each of his games against PBIII and Barnes. I do not include Scroggins because Mikey didn't really put up a fight.

Well thats all for this week. Look forward to another set of thoughts after next week's show! God Bless and have a great week!

I agree that the top 5 stepladder is better, but the format for the top 5 formats is dumb. Top 16 and only bowl 9 games? Umm, okay...
