I wouldn't say the best but it definitely was a pretty good cluster of shows over the last few days and featured some good bowling.

I'm surprised that there hasn't been any commentary on this site yet. The thing that has surprised me the most is seeing Pete Weber throwing Roto Grip balls (Nomad Dagger, Nomad Solid). When was the last time Pete has thrown anything but Storm on TV? I mean, I know the companies are related, but I usually see the traditional Storm guys only throwing Storm balls. Jason Belmonte was also throwing Roto Grip.

I know for a fact that Wes Malott was throwing an Invasion when he lost to Tom Smallwood in the World Championship tourney final a couple years ago. And Mika was throwing the original Mission against Kelly Kulick in the TOC.

Funniest part was when Tommy Jones handed Belmonte a sippy cup!! I was rolling on the floor at that.

This years team event has been much more enjoyable than the last couple.

I hadn't finished watching today's matches when I first posted, but I noticed that Malott was throwing a Storm ball (looked like a Hyroad) in the Baker match. Weber was still throwing the Dagger and it looked like Belmonte was throwing an Infinite Theory (same as he did in the doubles).

Oh, and Sean Rash's girlfriend is stunning!

Most of the companies (including Storm) have been allowing their PBA TOUR staffers to throw balls from their sister companies.

This does NOT apply to PBA Regional staffers, I know this because I am not allowed to throw Roto stuff.

I also got a kick out of Tommy Jones giving Belmo the sippie cup...........maybe Belmo will finally realize what he's doing and grow up.

....and I saw Rash pick up his water bottle, open it and take a drink from it when Norm Duke was on the approach getting ready to take his first step. Duke went ahead and still threw his ball and it struck and returned to his team happy and you didn't see Duke come storming back in Rash's face like Rash did Belmo. My point here is that Rash does the same things that he belittles others for.

In regard to your post, I do agree with you that it was funny as hell and even funnier that it was Tommy Jones that did that. I have always been a fan of Tommy Jones but never met him, but just judging from his quietness/style/etc. during competition, I never dreamed of him being a jokester type person, thus it surprised me.

Good to see some new bowling on TV during the Summer, just wish there weren't as many commercial interuptions.  Speaking of commercials it would be nice to see some from Brunswick, Storm, Ebonite and maybe even Gemini mixed in there.

I loved it when Duke left the 3-4-6-7-10 and said he bets he gets more than one. This shortly after Voss left the 1-2-4-6-10 and chopped the 1 off the rack.

Maybe Rash is a ninja and has spent the necessary years secretly training to learn how to drink from a plastic bottle without having the plastic make a cracking noise, a glug, glug, glug sound while drinking and followed by the word "Ahhhh" when finished taking a drink.  Apparently these are skills that escapes Blemo to this day.

I too noticed Rash and others using there water bottles.  Funny isn't it that virtually everyone except Belmonte can use the water bottle without getting some snap, crackle, or pop.  But then again according to Belmonte his bottle does it on its own or it is accidental.  Strange!!!!

Yep Belmo is so strong and powerful as a twohander the bottles can't handle it. Glad other tour pros don't have to worry about it.

Be good, or be good at it.
