Team Shootout SPOILER ALERT
« on: July 12, 2010, 06:22:52 AM »
Surprised that noone has posted about this. Storm wins all the way up the ladder. Pretty impressive, especially considering the conditions.

Clutch, game winning shot in the only women's hands---she blew it.

Last match was definitely fun to watch.

If Sean Rash hadn't missed a simple 10 pin ....
or is that Sean Rush, as he seems to rush every ball he throws.

Kudos to Rhino Page and Norm Duke for being the mainstays of their team and to PDW for finally getting his act together in that last game.

Kudos to Petraglia for a great showing during the whole shootout..

Congratulations to STORM and its Bowlers .. I thought the endless 10th frame was a GOOD IDEA! If a team is losing when they get up for the 10th frame you KNOW they are trying ... I LIKE IT!

Heads on favorites in my opinion. Except for the hiccup in the 10th frame, Duke looked like the best bowler in the competition. PDW got lined up when it counted. I expected 900G to fair better than they did. Had no faith in Ballard striking the last ball. She seemed lost most of the day. At one point she was struggling to get her ball to hook up, coming around it really hard. In the last match, she could not keep it right of the headpin. She really got hype over a brooklyn, her only bright spot. Figured that would come back to haunt her and it did.

All and all, better than last year.

I was disappointed in Carolyn this year too, but if she was as worried about her husband, as I think she might have been (they only mentioned his medical problem in the last show or so) then, small wonder she had problems concentrating.

Agreed. Much better. and the endless 10th frame had very little effect this year. That I liked.
