I was really surprised to see the condition of the injury.
I had a Track Machine drilled up just before a Pro/Am in Largo, FL. I didn't have time to throw it. I picked up the ball and got on the interstate.
Since I was having problems with calusing on the inside of my thumb, we decided to try a little reverse pitch.
Turned out to be a bad idea.
First shot in practice, the ball fell off my hand in the down swing and hit dead flush on the ankle bone. The ball literally went sideways into the lane to my right. I did this again during the Motel 6 Roll to Riches pro am (with a properly drilled ball though) and Sean Rash teased me saying 'I've never seen someone throw their ball down another guys lane before'. As if I wasn't embarrassed enough..
Anyway, the Largo hit bruised the bone, but the skin didn't break. She must have hit it with a hard graze rather than dead flush.
