Voss vs Allen
Wilson vs. Barnes

I will take in the finals Voss vs. Barnes. with the winner being Voss.

You know it's the Professional Bowlers Association, right?  Like, they're all great bowlers.  Steve will win because he's a great bowler.  Replace "Steve" with "Voss", "Barnes", or "Allen" and it's just as accurate.

How about "I think he'll win because he had a look no one else seemed to have"?  "He really ate up the transitions, he made excellent choices and moves before the lane conditions started to affect him.  Those other guys struggled by the third game and he really came alive then."

"Joe Bob's a great bowler" won't win titles.  "Joe Bob had something his opponents and the other bowlers didn't" will.

Every post about a professional bowler that someone knows or likes goes something like this:

X is a great bowler and a nice guy.  I'm sure he'll win lots of titles.  He has a great game.

Sometimes, a clause is inserted somewhere in there to indicate that he's a nice guy off the lanes and that he's simply extremely intense and competitive while bowling.

If all it took to win lots of titles was being a great guy and having an awesome game, they'd all have titles.  Come up with some original reason why someone might win.  Why you think that person has the advantage over someone else.  "Great bowler" indeed.

If they put out an "easy" shot expect Allen to walk away with the title because he's not gonna have to deal with his shot breaking down as quickly.

Hey...Richard Cranium and I know Wilson!

Well he's a pretty nice guy....BUT I've always liked him on TV.

I think he has a pretty good TV win loss record and seems when hot to be a hell of a competitor!

I've seen a lot of really big games from him when in contention and bowling good enough to make the show.  He's my pick....and that's why!

PS I believe he may be going for his 5th win on tour!
PPS I believe it was about two years ago is his last show and if I remember right he went about 279 to go finals and then he lost his reaction and maybe shot 159.

PPPS Show before that he was on I think he shot two 26Xs to win!  Looked like right before the show he was given an injection of ice water! BArnes better look out!

Barnes won a major, so jtu-whatever couldn't him a choker (even though he had won previous titles)....
