What's up with these Bonus Pins the guys are getting?? Some get more than others, does anyone know what this is about?

15 for a tie.....0 for losing your match. So someone could lose a match 220-218...and have someone else who was lost, but bowled someone who was even more lost and win 189-whatever, and with the 30 "bonus" pins....they then have 219....more than the guy who threw a better game, but had an opponent hit a hot streak....I was never fond of the bonus pins....

Good question....didn't think of it since the new format. I remember the old format where you were awarded ties...could have changed. In the local Masters tournament, the last day is the top 10 guys....if there is a tie, they each get 15 pins.

Since it's round-robin match play and not bracket-style match play, there's no need to break the tie.  Everyone bowls the 24 games, you're not eliminated for losing, so you don't need a winner and loser every game.
