Title: The Speeds
Post by: thefunnyman on March 25, 2007, 10:55:40 PM
I was wondering why the ESPN or PBA show their speeds at which they are throwing the ball on the lane. Because I want to know how fast they are throwing it.

It all depends on the condition. On the cheeta pattern WRW was throwing it at around 20mph. If they play on the shark pattern the speed is around 17mph or lower.

Yes but is the cameras set up in the back or the front of the lane on the cheetah pattern. Because you subtract 3 mph off if the camera is in the front of the lane

And as with the above post, do they measure speed as an average, for the whole 60', or measure the speed at a certain distance down the lane?
