Bob Learn, Jr. shot 300, 270, 280, 279 for 1129 on TV.  Erie, PA 1996.  I've got that show on video.  Incredible.

Jones is flat out killin it I hope he wins this Sunday if he does he is right back in the POY as it would be his third title this year. He is the man what a physical game.  I had the privelage of watching him in the southern region this past off season and it was awesome.  Also gotta pull for anyone from NC or SC.

Damn, that's pretty awe-inspiring! Too bad he has to bowl the Barnes-Smith winner in the 1st match Sunday. They seem more dialed in than the guys in the other half of the bracket so I'd rather see them meet in the finals.

That set (1127) is just ILL!!!!! Not on the Cheetah(cheater) pattern either 44 out of 48 strikes(92%strike precentage) YOW!!!!!

i know the 3rd game he had front 4 then messed up, so he had the minimum of the previous 16 strikes in a row

was sitting right behind tommy and danny last night, and yes he did put on some kind of show. even my wife who is casually into bowling was impressed. he was using an ebonite ice except for one shot and that was the last ball of the third game, and still struck. he did not make one bad shot all night. he warmed up with that ball, did not like the reaction, hit is with a scotchbrite bad and then well the rest is history..  danny bowled 4 pretty good games himself with his morich stuff, but just did not have the reaction that tommy did. they both played to the crowd very well and danny was a very gracious non winner, can't call him a loser. if the condition is the same tomorrow then look for the first match to yield the winner of the tourny, since barnes also had a great shot. maximum bob did not help himself by missing a few single pin spares, but that was a fun match to watch also.

It's pretty interesting he shot that well using the Ice. He also used the Ice in the Championship game of the Denver Open against Voss. Ebonite Rules.
