To all the Scroggins bashers...
« on: January 20, 2008, 03:50:36 PM »
First of all - he took the tournament today. No one handed him anything.

Second - although I've never been a Scroggins basher, he was not one of my favorites. He kinda struck me as a dead fish kinda guy - personality wise.

After last week in Medford, when he was our first pro in the pro am, I have nothing but respect for the man. I had the misfortune to bowl the "sponsors squad" (read non bowlers drinking heavily), and Scroggins had a TON of class. He kidded around, cracked jokes, and generally was one of the best guys we bowled with.
Our list was:
Mike Scroggins
Parker Bohn III (another real class act)
Mika Kouvenemi (he was very nice, but seemed really tired)
Chad Kloss (good guy - new on tour - good bowler)
Brian Kretzer (no personality whatsoever)
Brian Himmler (was in a REALLY bad mood)

So - from last week forward, I will have a huge amount of respect for Mike. Not to mention he's one of the best out there!

Hehe...  Unforunately, I think Pete took Pete out of that tournament.  It looked like he was having some problems there in those first frames.  Oh well it wasn't meant to be and look at what Scroggins did after that with those huge games.

I have bashed Scroggins in the past on here but, he did impress me today for the "first" time.

...becuase then, at least, I'll be a mile away from you and I'll have your shoes!

Soooo, you were the guy that stole my shoes back in 90 at Casino Lanes in Madison.  I want them back!
