After the first qualifying round of 8 games, there are 5 lefties in the top 10: Rhino Page, Mike Scroggins, Patrick Allen, Scott Norton, and PB3 with Rhino leading averaging 252

Can you follow the results on the PBA website?

Yeah. Right on the homepage is live scoring

Just took a look at this...I thought they had condensed the field for the TOC? But I see numerous people who haven't won a tournament bowling. When did they open up the field again??
-
A few years back they opened it back up to anyone who had ever won a PBA event since the PBA was formed.
I believe that includes regional events as well.

Correct, including regionals.

After 3 rounds of qualifying and 24 games. The top 4 spots belong to lefties heading into match play. Rhino, Scroggy, Norton, and good ole PA

Ryan Ciminelli sitting in 7th. Is this shot grooved for lefties or what?
Belmo looking to make ANOTHER major TV show, just amazing...

Looking at the list of the 24, it seems like the majority are people whose strength is playing straighter. Not everyone, of course.
-
Interesting way to see it.
The lanes broke down VERY quickly for right handers. Even WRW was swinging the lane. Lefties had a big advantage because they didn't have to stand against the ball return by game 3. Not sure how you are seeing that it's straighter players, though. Liz Johnson, Mika, mccune are the only righties I'd classify as strokers. Every other righty has quite a bit of hand.

Right now for match play on Friday.
1) Rhino Page, 2) Scott Norton, 3) Jason Belmonte, 4) Patrick Allen, 5) Bill O'Neill
Jason Belmonte making another show after winning the USBC Masters is amazing. I've been wanting to see Bill O'Neill on a show for a while as well, hopefully he can do some damage out there. I was actually hoping the Parker Bohn III would've been able to make the show as well. But from the line up it seems that it is going to be an entertaining show.
-
I still believe there is another round of match play tomorrow. Show is not set in stone yet.

After I read what I wrote I edited it lol.

Two more rounds of match play tomorrow. 16 games. Lots of time left.
-
The last thing I want to see is Belmo on another telecast this week because I believe he made the finals for the players championship next Sunday. Really hope to see some fresh faces this Sunday (Page, Allen O'Neil).

The amount of hand has nothing to do with the ability to play straight. Please don't put other meanings into the words I wrote. I didn't say they were strokers. Barnes, Barrett, Mcclelland, Ciminelli, & Bohn are hardly no-handers. I just said there are a lot of people who can play an outside line well.
-
agreed the amount of hand has nothing to do with the ability to play straight. Versatility key to pba/ sport shot tournaments. Unless your belmo :D jk belmo versatile too just not super versatile like my boy SEAN RASH!!!!. Wanna see the straight game WBT men finals wen he was throwing that sexy asss straight line like a boss.
-
Again, the righties didn't play straight. What they're CAPABLE of is completely irrelevant, they did not use that part of their game. Barnes, McClelland, Rash, etc were in front of the ball return like everyone else.
Lefties were able to stay straighter.
-
Rhino still leading after 40 games. Belmo jumped into 2nd followed by PA, Norton, and Billy O.
Rash and Ciminelli are sitting in 6/7 just outside cut. Barnes, PB3, Barrett, and Smallwood all have a shot in the last round of match play later

Woot Woot!!! Cheering for Bill O'Neill, Sean Rash, PB3 and Chris Barnes!!!
-
Lefties have a great shot this week. But I don't think any lefties made the top 64 at the Masters.
-
I wouldn't mind seeing an all lefty show. Ciminelli and Bohn are within range...If I was rooting for any righties it would be for Liz Johnson and Dom Barrett.

Sunday's live show
Rhino Page 1
Jason Belmonte 2
Ryan Ciminelli 3
Sean Rash 4
Scott Norton 5

Should make for an entertaining show. I wanted PB3 and Bill O'Neill but Sean Rash and Ryan Ciminellie will suffice ;D

After last week, the PBA needs a Belmo vs. Rash rematch.

All it would take is someone not shaking the others hand, a few choice words, someone flipping the other the bird and then standby for fireworks. A little tension couldn't hurt the show at all.
-
I think it's Ciminelli's to win. Rhino's to lose

Ciminelli over Belmonte or Rash?
If I'd have to choose three who'd win it I'd go Rhino, Belmonte, and then Rash... But it'd be awesome to see Norton for the upset!!!
-
Rooting for Sean rash. He has a pretty tough ladder to climb but he's a champion for a reason!
-
Rooting for anyone to stick Belmos nose in it

+1 .... ^^^^^^^^^^^

That won't happen until the Pba stops pimpin Belmonte out.And that my friends won't be for a long time !!
-
I met Rash last summer. Was real pleasant. I'd also like to see him humble Belmo some.
On edit: Do it for Pete, Sean!
