I live dead in the middle of SEC land, and we had three games on today including an in-state battle between Alabama and Auburn. The PBA telecast ran in my market.

Even if some markets didn't have it, most did. I think we're making too much of that angle.

I rank that as an EPIC FAIL on the part of the PBA.

They should have known better. (yea no football, watch our bowling......ohhhh F%^K we forgot about college basketball)

You even said your self later that it was probably the local stations that decided what to air (basketball over the PBA).  So how is that an epic fail for the PBA?  Are you sure you looked at the entire schedule?  In Mobile, we had two of one of the local networks.  One showed the national programming that you saw advertised on TV, and the other showed more local programming.

I'd have to agree to an extent on the criticisms of Daugherty.  I didn't count the boards or anything, but it never looked like he even bothered to move.  The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.  Whether or not that line/ball was money for him all week, maybe between the TV lights and the way the other bowlers broke the pair down, it wasn't right on that day.  Move in and really rip on it, take some hand out and play a little closer to Mika, something.  He certainly never got any luck by breaking down any splits, but he squashed the nose dead on many shots.

My last week of Cheetah for my PBA league I wasn't scoring well.  I always throw up the ditch at this house and usually use the same ball.  After several bad frames I moved in quite a bit even though that is usually a no-no (especially for someone with my rev rate at this house).  Marginally better, so I moved back out with a different ball.  Much better.  Even though the original ball on the original line had been great the other 6-7 weeks of Cheetah here, it wasn't that day.  Even if he was just trying to get out of Mika's way (in the 5th frame??), why not do something different?  Throwing a strike or two, even if the were Brooklyn or something would have got him out of the way faster than throwing a split almost every frame.

I dont see how anyone could be ripping Tom D. Cmon like any of you guys have gone that far in a tourney that big.

He has won Regional Events whch says that he knows what he is doing, He knows more bowling than any of us do. Not only that but he MUST be effective throwing the ball the way he does, He would have to be more effective throwing it TWO FINGERED, than we are Three Fingered. I understand he didnt move, but that is probably because he was nervous, or thought he had it best shot from where he was standing. Like any of us have never benn stubborn in league and not moved our feet and shot a awful game, is was amplirifed because of the toughness of the pattern.

Daughtery had a bad game, but put his name in the history of bowling, someone who lost by only 199 and bowled the lowest game on TV

btw, i liked his attitude, made me laugh, which is always good

When a house bowler misses the mark, misses the break point and strike, for many ppl its called a wallshot. When a pro does that its call adjustment

When a house bowler gets his finger stuck in the ball and fall on the lanes, for many ppl its called lame bowler. When a pro does that its called the Machuga flop! ha i like this one.

Nevermind the adjustments.  He threw it really bad.  Several shots the ball was set down on the foul line with little axis rotation.  How many times did you see the ball get right of 12-13 at the breakpoint?  2 times and they were both strikes.  IMO.....the number of games caught up to him.  He bowled 70+ games to get there.  Would have bet the long road to get there combined with pressure finally caught up.  Just caught up at a bad time.  Sure he will get there again.
