Todays Show (Possible Spoiler)
« on: November 04, 2007, 04:36:59 AM »
WRW - Highly Shined LevRG
McCune - Black Widow
Lizzi - Total NV
Koivuiniemi - Twisted Fury

Im glad that McCune lost, i cant stand him. He is the definition of spray and pray. He launches the ball so hard there no way for him to be accurate. Im suprised he only left 5-7 split. Anyway, i would have liked to see Lizzi win, i like his style and would have liked to see someone who hasnt won in 10 years win one.

You need to watch a lil closer.  Gene is very accurate.  I'd guess you don't like his demeanor nor style.

Agreed... I was surprised to see the pin that high in the layout for a "bowler" with that much speed.

He's just a flinger in my books...

No im pretty sure he threw the No Mercy. He threw the BW on that one shot when he tried to convert the 5-7, but there is no way that he was throwing that the entire day, he deff was throwing the No Mercy

C'mon... the white pin and label stick out like a sore thumb on the NM, you should be able to tell the difference.

If McCune's ball position in his setup was any higher, most people watching wouldn't have known it was him... LOL

I've never seen McCune bowl before and although he's obviously a great bowler, I didn't care much for his style at all.

He doesn't have any touch.  He's accurate alright, but nothing pretty about his shot.  A lot of arm in it and plays right up the boards.

It was interesting today comparing the shot to last week.  Last week the power guys with the big hook seemed to have an advantage and this week the straighter players had it.

Lizzi had a real pretty shot.  He'd really get it out there.  And the camera was cool on some of Koivuiniemi's shots when they had it in the gutter.  That Twisted Fury really had a good look.  IT really goes long and takes a bit to really rev up and then makes a big backend move.  He was really riding the outside of his shots.

WRW continues to prove you don't need a whole lot of hand to compete on todays shots.  Accuracy is just as important as power (although lets face it, the power guys are more fun to watch!).  But man did he leave some 10's.  I could kind of tell when they were coming.  He would just miss inside a bit and that forced a slightly bad angle.  But he persevered.  He's so deadly accurate it was basically a single pin or a strike with no splits.

Not entirely true.  Similar to watching T Jones who swings the crap out of the ball, McCune does normally play up the boards.  But when in Dallas last year he was swinging the ball with the big boys.  I was very surprised at how different a shot he was playing.

McCune used the No Mercy to break the shot down before the show then switched to the Black Widow, he was using 2 of them on the show.

Well, in that case, at any point you can let us know that McCune was most definitely throwing a Black Widow Solid. Last I checked, the No Mercy doesn't have a red pin.
