Here's some thoughts on the telecast:
I thought Scroggins was throwing a Double or Special Agent not a Shift.
Rob Stone was butchering the bowler's names, but I do like his enthusiasm during the telecasts, because it brings an element of excitement. Not bad for someone who covers soccer matches.
Was it me, or some balls thrown on the left lane lost revs? For instance, it seemed that WRW in his first match a couple of times his ball lost revs, as though it "stalled" or "locked up" in the midlane for brief second, then started revving again causing the 4 pin to stay standing.
More and more when I watch the pro's play, the more I am convinced that the best way to bowl on most oil patterns is down and in, like WRW, instead of standing left and trying to hook the ball in with huge flare. Simplicity is key in bowling.
Anyone notice the thin pale woman in the stands with the retro-80's mullet type hair-do? Looked like a relative of Keith Richards with a little Alice Cooper mixed in. Speaking of hair-do's, I like Ms. Ballard's style. When they said she's from New Jersey that explained it. I wonder if she's a Bon Jovi fan
USBC needs to extend the women's championship matches. I love the fact that the women get some "DAP" during the men's championships. I love the change of pace, and noticing the simple style of women bowlers.
Seems like Brunswick and Morich balls are topping the charts thus far in TV appearances.
