accept for 2 weeks this year he's made it into the round of 32 every week so its just a matter of getting to the tv show that he hasn't been able to do very well so far.

:S this is bad, wonder what happened to TJ
--------------------
When a house bowler misses the mark, misses the break point and strike, for many ppl its called a wallshot. When a pro does that its call adjustment

When a house bowler gets his finger stuck in the ball and fall on the lanes, for many ppl its called lame bowler. When a pro does that its called the Machuga flop! ha i like this one

This guy on youtube posts videos of the PBA
for ppl who dont watch TV or want to save the matches this will be great!

I hope he didn't get injured.  I saw he had dropped out.  Tommy Jones & Robert Smith are like Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant.

For this I will probably get some flack from people that see the bowling game in one dimension. I like the way TJ delivers his bowling ball but he is a one dimension bowler. Just with a Plan A game no Plan B game for when the lanes do not match his type of game. I have seen him get mad and frustrated when the lanes do not match his game instead of him doing something different. He just throws the ball faster and harder. Once he develops his Plan B game no one will be able to stop him. Time is on his side.

Charles and I were talking about this very thing when they were in Irving.  He was standing and tossing the caps.  Yet there were plenty of guys that can hook the ball playing an outside shot.  Now....granted I won't put Tim Criss in the same category in terms of hook and revs as TJ, but Criss impressed me when he went away from his inside game and played an outside line.  Never seen him do that before.

You obviously haven't seen much of Tommy jones outside of TV.  I remember the first 2 years I went to World Team Challenge qualifiers to watch he was playing the 1 board, then a few games later he was lofting the channel.  Last game of the tournament he went back to the 1 Board with an Optyx F1 and shot 297 pulling the ball to the 3 board on the last shot for a 3-9-10.

Tommy Jones can do whatever he wants with a bowing ball.  It just so happens that he is so good that when he can play his A-Game, no one can beat him.  Why deviate from that if the condition lets you play it?  9 PBA titles, a great Amatuer record, and he's not even 30.  I don't think he has anything left ot prove to anyone.

At Taylor this year he tossed a pair of 300 games in the round of 32 playing like 7 at the line and going to like 2 board at the breakpoint.... pretty damn amazing....

You are sadly mistaken if you think someone THAT good can only play the lanes one way.

I remember last season when Tommy averaged 280 in the round of 8 last season shooting 860 and he was playing up 7-8.

I knew the Tommy Jones supporters would come through.  I didn't say anything even though I have seen him in practice before.  Like I said:

Robert Smith = Kobe Bryant

Will not argue what he did at that time but now he is not showing that kind of playing. Right this moment he has to show what brought him to the PBA no matter what type of lane condition is layed down in front of him. Remember I am not saying that he is a bad bowler. It is what gsback said on his post.

I will say that the day that he makes his move (on TV) and shows that he can play any place on the approach. Then everybody will know that they are watching one of the greatest.

I remember reading or hearing somewhere that TJ said he'd never play anything but the big hook on TV.  He'll play anywhere on the lane during the week but you'd never see him doing it on TV.

It was on Brunswickinsiders last year, Atlanta I believe. He said you'll never see him out on the gutter on TV.

Thank you shelley. For letting us know his state of mine.

By the way. I am a TJ fan just that I wanted to see him do something different on TV.

i think i dont see big moves on TV shows unless it was for testing.

the only big changes came from Duke and WRW. the tournament that Duke won, he playing straight up or hookin the ball 15 boards right and 5-10 boards and to the pocket (when he won the match and tried another line)

the other one was from WRW when he lowered speed and move inside, it was a big move

other than that most of the players played their lines only very few boards of adjustment
