Wow I can't believe Pete fell out of the top 5

neither could I.  he couldnt carry the ten pin over the final six games.  in teh position round against robert smith he wnt 4 pin, strike (barely carrying the swish zonee), ringing ten, ringing ten, and a pocket 7-10.  one of those is a strike, hes on the telecast.

during the week robert used a chameleon, shark, and a green alien.

They must be paying Smith a lot of money to be using the Elite balls.

Three shows in a row for Chris Barnes, something has got to be said about this, the telecast was going nuts when WRW made three shows in a row, lets see if they give Barnes the credit he deserves.

It'll be interesting to see how the Robert Smith does, with his new equipment and all. Obviously for this week it is working out just fine

well i have Smith and Barnes for this week

When a house bowler misses the mark, misses the break point and strike, for many ppl its called a wallshot. When a pro does that its call adjustment

When a house bowler gets his finger stuck in the ball and fall on the lanes, for many ppl its called lame bowler. When a pro does that its called the Machuga flop! ha i like this one.

Looking at PDW's season so far, I am wondering if it is possible to win the PoY award without making a show? Hahaha

With the new points system, I don't think it's possible.  You only get points for making TV shows.  This article says

quote:
2007-08 Chris Schenkel PBA Player of the Year Race
Prior to the 2007-08 season, the PBA announced a new selection process for the PBA Player of the Year award, which will now be decided by a points system rather than a vote.

The top five bowlers in events with a five-bowler stepladder final and the top four in events with a bracket format will receive points. Points will increase for performance in Majors. Below is the breakdown:

Place      Majors      Standard
1      24      16
2      12      8
3      8      4
4      4      2
5      2      1

No shows, no points.  Perhaps a response to Malott and Barnes making a butt-load of shows last year and hardly anyone talking about them for PoY, in spite of being first and second in the points list.
