the oil pattern they're bowling on is only used for the tournament of champions. it's 50' long but the actual volume of oil is lower. still, i must admit the scores are higher than i thought they'd be.

I'm shocked at how high the scores are....The field is averaging 250....This according to the PBA is the longest oil pattern ever used at 50 feet....I expected alot lower scores....This shot May be easier than a house shot...Or at least have more hold than one....Maybe the PBA should try a House shot tournament at some point?....This would be interesting to see if the scores can get any higher?

On paper, this pattern would look like the hardest. But not in today's game. Hoewever, don't be suprised to see some or a couple of the pros on the telecast shoot lower scores. The effect of the lights, a big audience and the title has a bigger effect on the bowlers then match play.
