PBA Geico Open
« on: November 27, 2003, 06:06:45 PM »
Looks like the lefties got shut out again:

83, John Petraglia, Manalapan, N.J., 1,868
92, Dennis Horan Jr., Temecula, Calif., 1,847
98, Eric Forkel, Las Vegas, 1,838
99, Hugh Miller, Seattle, 1,832
102, (TIE) Mike Scroggins, Amarillo, Texas, 1,829
110, Chris Hayden, Orlando, Fla., 1,805
131, (TIE) Parker Bohn III, Jackson, N.J., 1,747
135, Jason Couch, Clermont, Fla., 1,735
145, Ricky Ward, N Fort Myers, Fla., 1,722

I don't know all the names, but I can't find a single lefty in the top 64.  Anyone see one?

Other big names missing the cut:

70, Mika Koivuniemi, Finland, 1,901
74, Tommy Jones, Greenville, S.C., 1,892
77, Bryan Goebel, Shawnee, Kan., 1,886
85, Brian Voss, Alphretta, Ga., 1,861
86, (TIE) Walter Ray Williams Jr., Ocala, Fla.
88, Del Ballard Jr., N Richland Hills, Texas, 1,857
89, Michael Fagan, Greenlawn, N.Y., 1,856
104, Jeff Carter, Springfield, Ill., 1,819
107, (TIE) Rudy Kasimakis, Tupelo, Miss., 1,817
116, (TIE) Bryon Smith, Roseburg, Ore., 1,790
118, David Traber, Woodstock, Ill., 1,785
125, Steve Wilson, Lake Worth, Fla., 1,761
138, (TIE) Jason Hurd, Titusville, Fla., 1,730

The scoring pace seems pretty high, with the cut to 64 at +107.

Randy Pedersen is in 9th place after the 1st round.  Amazing!

Go TD!

What am I missing?  Pete Weber is listed as the #1 seed, but I don't see his scores anywhere.

Round 2 scores:

1, Tommy Delutz Jr., Flushing, N.Y., 4,237
2, Steve Hoskins, Palm Harbor, Fla., 4,178
3, Thomas Smallwood, Flushing, Mich., 4,067
4, Ryan Shafer, Elmira, N.Y., 4,062
5, D.J Archer, McKinney, Texas, 4,047
6, Jim Tomek Jr., Camp Hill, Pa., 4,027
7, Tim Criss, Bel Air, Md., 4,022
8, Patrick Healey Jr., Mexico, 4,008
9, Jimmy Keeth, Boynton Beach, Fla., 4,006
10, (TIE) Jack Jurek, Lackawanna, N.Y.
        Chris Barnes, Dallas, 3,993

Seeds:

1. P. Weber
2. T. Delutz Jr.
3. C. Barnes
4. Brad Angelo

Weber, Barnes, and Angelo weren't in the top 5 after the first round either.  ???

There is a 20 tournament rolling point list. The seeds are determined using that point list NOT qualifying pinfall.

I do not check the standing and just check here to see what is going on.

I would like to see Chris Sand make a few shows this year though. He is a nice guy. I met him at a clinic in Michigan back in September. Nice guy, and extremely dedicated.
