I believe this would be a reference to a bowler out of the Detroit area.

Just finished the first practice session, the others are still bowling, but 1.5 hours is enough for me.  Not making any predictions for the finish, but for the first round on Viper:

Liz Johnson has a great look with 3-4 different balls.
Brian Waliczek looks good a couple different balls, but is rubbing his wrist some.  His brother Lonnie looks good too, but he was fishing alot I could tell.
Kelly Kulick looks pretty solid.
Nathan Bohr looks good.  Fished alot with different balls.
Edward Van Daniker struck alot early.
A smooth lefty, Brandon Harris, I think his name his, crushed 'em.
Revs had a lot of room, but changed balls alot, think he was fishing.
A guy named Lepper, struck bunches late in the session, he really gets on it, don't like his game alot, but he struck alot.
Shannon Buchan is not super impressive to watch, but he is solid, and throwing the ball well from what I could tell.  He is really solid at the line.
Keep an eye on Del Ballard Jr and Lee Vanderhoef, they look solid.

Chris Johnson not practicing, hurt his right knee during the RPC.

I only bowled on the Viper, since that is what we are bowling on tomorrow, and I doubt today's version of the other patterns will play today like they will 3,4,5  days from now.  I had a really nice look with my Thunderstruck solids.  Black Widow was a little too much ball, too early.  Eraser Particle Pearl was just about the same thing.  The Agent was pretty good.  My HiJinx was okay, but just okay.  The heads are pretty nice for wood, not to dark, and finish is nice.
