Tour Trials Contest/Discussion.
« on: May 30, 2006, 11:22:26 AM »
For mere bragging rights(sorry I wish I had something I could give away for this) how about a contest to guess who will be coming out of tour trials.  I just thought this would be fun and we could perhaps condense most Tour Trials discussion into this one post.

Rules are:

-All 1st entries must be made by 2:00 p.m. EST Wednesday May 31st.
-You are allowed only one day of modification on a maximum limit of THREE(3) Bowlers.
-Your modification day is only allowed within the first TWO(2) days of competition and must be submitted(if submitted at all) by Friday June 2nd at 10:00 a.m.
-Modifications, if any, must he highlighted in bold with an asterik(*) and must go beside the name of the substituted bowler.
-The participant will recieve TWO(2) Points for every correct entry, plus a bonus of FIVE(5) points if they are listed individually in the place which they finish in the trials.  There is a maximum of 70 points availible.

Good luck to all participants and ballreviews members who are bowling.

Here are my picks(In order):

1- Dino Castillo
2- Chris Johnson
3- Brian Waliczek(*Michael Haugen Jr.)
4- George Lambert IV(*James Wallace)
5- Patrick Girard
6- Ken Simrad
7- Paul Fleming
8- Chip Collins
9- Vince Wood(*Mike Eaton Jr.)
10- Mark Scroggins

Joe Pompilio

Remember that name.  This guy throws absolute bombs down the lane.  Reminds me a lot of Tommy Jones.  Anyone else watch him toss?  He does have a bad attitude though.

Its hard to play with an inferno and not get burned. Last time I threw my inferno, the opposing bowler definitely got burned.

Joe Pomp does throw a solid ball.  I've heard fryout stories but he seemed like a cool enough guy the first time I met him.  He probaly will do very well.

I wonder if Paul Moor from UK takes part in? He is supposed to try PBA tour this season and go through the trials.

On edit: Ah, yes, he does.

I love to take odds on gambles so i'll take all the international players.
1)Carlos Tobon  Columbia
2)Bill Rowe  Canada
3)Hernan Ramirez  Venezuela
4)Paul Moor  England
5)Rafael Medina  Venezuela
6)Lionel Lewis  Canada
7)George Lambert IV Canada
8)Patrick Girard  Canada
9)Jim Tomek Jr Camp Hill, Pa
10)Lonnie Waliczek  Wichita, Kan

Odds are some international player has to make it. I would be disappointed if atleast one of them didn't.
