So Mo helped me out today at practice...
« on: June 03, 2005, 12:46:34 PM »
I just got back from practice on for tomorrow's chameleon pattern and Mo came down and worked for about 1/2 hour with me and then we went onto the truck and he gave me a shock and awe and laid it out to what he think will work good tomorrow.  He redid some pitches and told me to switch around my hand position and it felt good throwing my ravage so I will get the shock and awe tomorrow morning as it will be waiting for me in the locker room tomorrow morning.  Mo is an excellent teacher and was a real super guy for helpin me out.  He is definitely the man!

He laid out a ball for me one time that probably made more money for a 1st year bowler than any other first year bowlers ball.

I still use it and people still love to see it roll.

They don't like the rest of my stuff as much.

Crimson and red sledgehammer.

He laid out my friend Paul Renteria's equipment at the high rollers for years, i guess that is why Renteria won 2 of them for 200k each time Great guy Mo knows pitch problems and span problems on the spot, he also knows exactly were to layout his balls for your style. He is the man when it comes to drilling knowledge there are posers out there giving seminars, who should be keeping there lack of knowledge to there selfs. One guy i know of always recommend thumb pitch chnage to every bowler without seeing them throw one shot, i will name this guy but anyone who has been to his seminar knows who i am talking about.

Him and I went into the pba truck and he looked at my track.  Then he measures my tilt.  of Course after he watched me roll a few.  He shortened my span by about 5/16 cause he said i was too long and it was causing too much grip pressure.  He switched my thumb pitch from about 1/4 left to 1/4 RIGHT and from 1/2 reverse to 1/4 reverse.  Gave me 1/8 pitch to left for my middle finger and 11/16 right on my ring.  The main idea was to get rid of everything that was causing me to cause a death grip on the ball.  The man's a genius cause the ball is exactly perfect for today's condition, I shot several 220's today, a couple 200's and ran the front 5 or 6 of one game.  I had a blank WMB at home so I brought it up there today and he laid that one out as well so I will update on that one when i get a chance to toss it!

It felt really good.  I definitely didn't have to grip the ball and was able to just relax and let it go.  It made a very miniscule change in track and everything else cause i usually stay pretty good behind the ball 17* tilt but it helped me not to be pinching it at the bottom.  Works wonders.
