1. In a PBA tournament, how many seconds or minutes does a bowler have to deliver the ball? Is it 30 seconds?
2. Just how "pressured" is a PBA bowler to use the latest, "greatest" ball from the manufacturer, which sponsors them? For instance, if a PBA bowler likes to use a certain ball because it matches up with the tournament oil conditions, and the ball is reliable, is that bowler "pressured" by the manufacturer to use the newest ball in the line, even though the bowler may not bowl well with the newer ball. Does that make sense?

Answer to question 1 I believe 30 seconds to deliver the ball one it comes back off of the ball return.
Question 2 might depend on company. Michael Haugen Jr. was using a Radar Alert all week not the newest AMF ball. So for AMF it is what ever ball he feels comfortable with.

I believe the shot clock is 25 seconds from the time the last ball comes out of the ball return to the start of your approach. Patrick Allen takes shot clock violations regularly. There is no shot clock during the week, only on the telecast.
The ball reps aren't stupid, they'd rather their guy win with last year's ball or a six month old ball rather than get their ash handed to 'em with the ball of the week. Mika uses older Brunswick stuff all the time on the show, and he wins.
But pros are no less susceptible to good marketing and "new and shiny" than we are. Witness the plethora of RG Cells that have been all over the ball racks. They want to try the latest and greatest just as much as we do.

$100 for the first, I think $500 for the second and maybe $1K for each one after that.
