In some ways, that surprises me because he's a guy who can control the pocket on just about any pattern. Then again, you need to do a lot of striking in that competition. Plus, his game doesn't really have the wow factor they may be looking for in an event like that. Don't get me wrong; the guy has tons of talent, more than I'll ever hope to have, but if you're trying to excite people with big revs, power strikes, etc., he may not be what you're looking for.

I definitely understand what you're saying, but also by contrast, WRW and Jurek aren't that type of player either (revs, speed, flash/flare) and they also get the job done, and both were either selected or managed one of those teams...

True, but WRW Jr. is an all-time great, and some would say the greatest ever. You won't leave a legend like that out. As for Jurek, maybe it's due to his likable personality as he has been voted the nicest guy on Tour/sportsmanship award multiple times if I'm remembering correctly.

In the end, I think bowling talent is part of it, so the top players will always be in the mix. From there, I think they like including young guns, pretty girls, and guys who make the crowd oooh and aaaah with their power. Basically, I'm saying that a big part of these league events is promotional, so they're going to make sure the audience sees the people and types the Tour wants them to see.
