Ulitmate Scoring Tourney

With the PBA naming the Plastic Ball Tourney after the GREAT MARK ROTH, It got me thanking what PBA player would you name the Ultimate Scoring Tourney after??

Bob Learn Jr. would be a good choice, but how about the Jeff Carter Classic?  He does hold the national average record for an entire season on a league shot.

I think it should be whoever has the most 300's in PBA competition at the time of naming the tournament.

I think right now it's Parker Bohn, but I'm not sure.

i agree with the jeff carter one. with his average record and the fact that he won the 1st one last year

Mike Wolfe won the Ultimate Scoring championship, Carter won the plastic ball championship.

No disrespect to the Jeff idea but if it's average record you're looking for to name it and it's a PBA tournament it should be PBIII as he owns the single season average record at 228.04 in 99.  I personally like Bob Learn but I don't know if he's a big enough name (historically speaking) to name a tournament after him.  If I were to really pick a legend who is known for striking I'd say the PBA Glenn Allison Ultimate Scoring Championship.

Have to disagree with the PBIII idea.  The idea is the pros bowling on the THS, so there for him averaging the highest on tour in 99 would have no point.  But he is a great player and should name the Etonic Marathon after him.
