Who's going to be there this week? I am bowling in the Pro Am on Monday night and I will probably go another night during the week to watch.

I'll be there, attempting not to embarass myself.

Possible snow delay for the tournament here in NJ, travel safe...

My friend from high school was there last year.  He is a great bowler.  He finished in the top 100 and won over $1000.  The US Open should be good this year.  I'll let you all know how he does.

Monday, Noon.
I'm about 15 miles West of Carolier. We had 1-2" of snow, but it turned to mostly slushy ice and plain ice with the rain that followed the snow. 2:00 PM all roads are clear; I doubt there'll be any delay to the start of Qualifying on Tuesday, 8 AM.

Going out Saturday to watch match play........ no real need to watch qualifying and see 100 scrubs try to beat the real pros.  ATTTAACCCCKKKK!!!!

But one can always learn comparing the pros playing the lanes to less professionally skilled, but talented league bowlers playing a flat pattern. Unless you're earnign a real living by being one of the 10 or 15 top grossing PBA professionals, one can always learn.

Besides with almost 500 entries and 40 on the waiting list as of Saturday, there are a lot of friends trying to do their best. Qualifying is, in many ways, as fascinating to watch as match play.

Thanks, Tonybowls. I bowled last year, missed cashing by 70 pins and missed about 12 easy spares. So my goal is to cash this year. At the practice session, they seem a little more open than last year. By that I am by no means saying they are easy, but it seems you can play them a couple of different ways with a little forgiveness (AND I MEAN A LITTLE). I saw more guys able to play up 6-7-8-9 and have a good look. Should be interesteing as they transition. Good Luck to everyone bowling this week.

I had a great time at the Pro Am last night. Bowled with Haugen, Reyes, Cimba, Williams Jr, Oatman and Himmler. All were really nice especially Reyes. Good Luck again to everyone who is bowling this week.

This is an update on my friend from high school.  He is in 53rd place averaging 193 in squad B - Chris Blackmore.  Everyone cheer him on.  Next year I am going to compete in the US Open if the PBA is still around.  I gotta work on my 10 pin shooting and I should be good to average 190-200 at least.

The Vertigo is the best ball Storm ever made.  Find one if you can.
