As good as Voss is, I have to go with Ozio.  He's flawless.

Ozio is fluidity personified.

Voos is controlled with a bent elbow. Not classic or desireable at all. Of course, what he does with it is something else.

In 1994 I was bowling the Brunswick World Open in Lake Zurich,Ill.
Ozio was finishing the B Squad block and he was using a scuffed Blue Piranha/C
and was standing in front of the ball return. Having been a rookie on the tour then and really NEVER having to stand that deep ever I panicked and headed to the paddock to shine eveything I had to a mirror because I had to bowl on what was left from that B squad!
I shot +3 for the block finishing standing left of the ball returns and lofting the left gutter.(not bad for learning on the fly on Tour.)

David is the most polished, professional bowler and was often criticized for over practicing! He can still throw it very very well and can play from anywhere on the lane. Everyone should use him as there model for footwork and fundamentals.

Oak Hills remodeled and put in synthetics last year. Looks good as ever. Still make the best enchiladas in San Antonio, bar none.

Oh...Ozio by a head.

I vote for Ozio.  I patterned my game after his.  Especially the free arm swing.

i used to think voss and ozio were about even until i watched this( and other ) videos. i'd say ozio has the more "perfect form" but both guys get the job done:

 voss and ozio:

each is a pba hall of famer.

each has been pba player of the year( voss---1988, ozio---1991 ).

each has won a major title( voss---1988 pba national championship, ozio---1991 firestone tournament of champions ).

biggest difference between the two: voss---23 pba national titles, ozio---11 pba national titles.

Ozio was a little better fundamentally, but my vote goes to Voss for his ability to adapt to the changes in the game over the years. I really don't think you can go wrong emulating either style.

Looking at the results so far, it looks like the marjority of people think Ozio has the better "textbook" form.
