Walter Ray 16 pounds

Do you think a 15 would have carried all of those weak hits?  IMO, I don't think so.  I need to lift weights so I can throw 16  Walter Ray is good.

That's why he went back to 16# in the first place.  His game is straight and hard with not a lot of angle.  On light or weak shots, 16# will carry the 5-pin better than 15# because of less deflection.

Correct to a certain degree (pun intended!). If you set it down on the one board and arc into the pocket, you do not have the same angle as a cranker swinging out to the twig at the breakpoint and screaming back to the pocket. Proof is in the number of 9 pins left vs. number of 4 pins left. WRW will leave a 4 pin or a 4-7 on a high hit. TJ will leave a 9 pin or a 4-9.
