Title: Walter Ray stat...
Post by: DukeHarding on December 04, 2006, 04:29:00 AM
Pretty impressive. 475 single pin spare shots without a miss, until Sunday's show.
(I believe that was the number they announced Sunday).

When did Walter Ray miss a single pin yesterday?  I thought his only open was when he chopped the 4-8?

Maybe I've got to lay off the Captain Morgan............

Yep, he and TJ each missed the 4-8 in their match.....Walter's streak should be good to go!

By the way, Mo was a my center/shop yesterday....we were watching the show live....it was interesting to watch with Mo...his comments, etc....

I believe Randy said Walter missed a single pin during the week breaking his string.

He missed a single-pin during his match with Chris Warren on Friday.  It wasn't on the show.  I think it was more than 475 in a row, though.  He had all 475 last year (in match play; they don't mention qualifying), plus 47 this year, and they didn't comment on the previous year.  And they no longer have the stats up, but over the past four or five years, there are maybe a half-dozen misses.

Holy cow, that is a ridiculous streak!!!  It must be amazing that Walter missing a single pin spare is newsworthy enough to bring out on the TV broadcast!!!!

My team feels the same way when I chuck a 3-bagger........
