Weekly PBA Thread: 2-13-05
« on: February 13, 2005, 02:39:06 AM »
Well, I decided to do this again.  I'll be updating as the show goes on.

What's in the bag:

Semifinals
Amleto Monacelli- Teh Absolute Inferno!!!!111
Brian Voss- TNT
Dave Traber-  Teh Absolute Inferno!!!!111
Mike Wolfe-  Ricochet Rebound

Finals
Amleto- Absolute on left lane, Original Inferno on right
Dave- Absolute

Match Scores:

Match 1:  Amleto defeats Voss, 229-191.  Voss never adjusted anything (ball or line) the entire game and paid for it.
Match 2:  Traber wins a HORRIBLE looking match against Wolfe, 191-147.
Final:  AMLETO beats Traber, 215-195.  Amleto needed a strike, 9 spare to win, got the strike, and somehow left the 7-10.  SO traber needs 3 in the tenth to win, but leaves a ringing 10, which everyone had been leaving like crazy, to lose.

Brunswick wins another week.  Conspiracy?  Perhaps.

Skills Challenge:
Parker Bohn III deafeats Haugen, 3 strikes to none.

To all you Traber haters out there, take that.. 2nd place finish is nothing to be ashamed of. He bowled very well today if not for terrible carry the last game, he would have won.. The 1st ball in the 10th was crushed..

I like Amleto as well, so nice to see him win..

Been waiting for 7 years, and he finally gets the win!  Congrats Amleto!

And DON'T bring the traber fight into here.  Make another thread for that, you will NOT ruin this one.

How happy is Rick B right now. Last week having Duke come over to Brunswick and win and now Ameleto wins. Don't want to make anyone mad but who will be the next person to jump over to Brunswick?

Why in the world was Traber using the Absolute playing that line the thing was rolling WAY to early and had nothing left at the pins.

I just don't understand why they were all using such strong balls on that short of a pattern.

Except Amletto who was getting it deep enough due to high degree of axis rotation and line.

Thanks Ragincajun.

Stormtrack, i agree.  Amleto had a real nice look with the original inferno, but i bet he didnt' switch because it would have been too risky.
