I know this will start a fire but look after the first block of qualifying.  top 2 lefties and about 5 in the top 10

Having bowled the PTQ for this event from the right side, I can tell you this: early in the block, the best shot was from the outside, on the right that went away after a couple of games. Late in the block the lanes opened up so that anywhere between 2nd and 4th arrow was very playable, but never got so far inside as to interfere with the lefthanders. I was not near Page or Cimonelli, but it is my assumption that the outside shot never went away on the left.
It is amazing when you look up on the board and the leader is averaging 271 after 3 games and the average goes UP after 4!

Being Friends with different equipment reps and talking to them, the lanes are not the same on both sides. After bowling a full block on the right side of the lane they can break down pretty bad. The left side having less traffic is set up as if they are already in break down when they're fresh!!!

I could less if people think the leftside is more scorable (which it can be), But right handers are NEVER shut out of a tournament like left handers can be.

Even Mark Scroggins qualified 6th sounds like a house shot!

How can lefty's be shut out?  In the PBA where you get a lot of practice time to burn up a spot and change the pattern, the old "there's too much oil for the handful of lefty's to break it down" doesn't float anymore.  Explain to me how you think it's possible to shut out all left handers from a tournament.

Lefthanders only make up 10-15% of the population.  I don't know if it's the same for the PBA.  But when you only have 4 bowlers (normal telecast) that are all right handed for 2 shows, then a show with 3 righty's and 1 lefty, that's pretty much normal.  When you have a week where half of the top 24 (not saying this week), then you know the lefty's had a better shot for some reason.  It's not favoritism or anything, just a fact.

Well, leftehh- LG, put 6 righty's and only 2 lefty's on a show with hot camera lights and tons of practice, and the righty's will shut themselves out, lol.
