Discussion of PBA Trials

We'll track progress here.
--------------------

The PBA tour trials in Merilleville to determine the final 8 exempt spots for the 2004-2005 season are just around the corner. Anyone beside me excited about watching the leader board change over the course of 5 days and 45 games? Is there anyone who will be trying their luck? (If so, good luck!)

Maybe we should have a friendly competition to see which one of us predicts the most bowlers who end up winning exemptions. Pick 8 bowlers before the start of competition ... whoever gets the most of their 8 picks right becomes the "BR Crystal Ball Master"

Well!

I know her boyfriend's uncles ex wife's  cousin twice removed!

REgards,

Luckylefty
ps I met him at a party well, we didn't actually speak but I saw him go to the fruit bowl and I got the same type of fruit he did, but 3 guys behind  him in line and I was gonna tell him how much I enjoyed the food, but well at the last second I got nervous so I just sort of said OUT Loud to nobody.  I like Kelly!
It was sort of cool!

So close yet so far away, I've got 4 guys in the top 15.  Need to put on the rally cap for McCune, Bedolla, and Carter.  Tomorrow's going to be so exciting.

Unfortunately, it looks like Kelly is out of it unless she really gets it turned around in the last five games.

Both Missy and Kendra are at a higher pace today than a lot of the field, but both had too much ground to make up.

The move of the day to watch looks to be Hoskins...143 pins back with 5 to go and running at a 260 pace.  Of course, Jensen and Simard (1st and 2nd today so far) are also scoring at a pretty good clip (yeah, I know...understatement), which means that the Trials get drama to the end.

Ive been meaning to ask that all morning, but i thought i missed something.  I looked up and down the list 20 times and couldnt find him.  Unless he got hurt, I cant see him quitting with only a few games left.

Hopefully ESPN keeps Randy around for commentary on TV next season.  After 8 games today McCune is 8th, don't know about you guys, but I'd rather see Randy Pederson  at 8th.  Oh well, I hope McCune doesn't make it.

What is absolutely amazing is that Mike Edwards could have left the building to start carying equipment out after the 6th game and still had enough pins to guarantee a spot in the top 8.  The way he has lapped the field for the week is unbelievable...

Wow - Jim Pratt squeaked in there to hold the eigth position.  Jim's a good competitor who (until now) was one of the better Western regional pros.  Maybe with him touring next year, I'll have a better chance at winning money in the Arizona scratch tournaments.

Seriously, if you catch this Jim, nice job.  I'm happy for you.  Congratulations to all of the bowlers who participated and especially to those who got the covetted 8 positions.

I'm still in awe of Pratt's game.  The last thing I expected was a guy to go out there throwing without a thumb in the ball and end up in the Top 8.  Congrats Jim!
And despite some people voicing their dislike for him on this site, all I have to say is Eugene McCune is the man!
