What ball did Norm use on Sunday?
« on: February 04, 2019, 06:10:53 PM »
I know he is a Storm staffer.  What multi-colored ball was he using?

That wasn’t a Phaze, was it?  Probably a Crux Prime.

Date of the original post referenced the celebrity show which he used the Crux Prime, the replies yesterday/today reference the Indianapolis Open where he used an Idol Pearl and SonIQ.

Thanks guys for the clarification. I spaced out the date of original post. Both balls gave Norm a great look and something for us strokers to ponder over. Especially the Idol Pearl.

There's no reason Norm Duke should be able to carry more hits than Belmonte who physically throws it with almost twice the revrate and 2-3 more RPMs on it.

This victory was all due to modern day equipment giving low rev guys the same carry as everyone else and traditionalists will never admit it.

/trolling :)

Yay Norm.

Belmo should have shelled down, moved more right, and cut down the axis rotation in my opinion. He was carrying questionable hits with the ball coming in behind the head pin because of his rev rate, but it was a dice roll that didn't pan out.

Seen arguments made that if reactives were never invented Dell Ballard Jr. might be considered the greatest of all time by now (though PDW was winning lots with urethane too).  That guy could hook urethane like no one else.  Pretty obvious both Norm and WRW really benefited from reactives.  Still the mind wins as many titles as the tech so credit where its due.
